It is with great pleasure, Groovee Fortune presents the new web page for an amazing drummer, Ernie Durawa!!!! Wait till you see the list of people he’s played with…Texas Tornados, Willie Nelson, Freddy Fender, Dough Sahm, Johnny Gimble & John Belushi (I’m gonna put my bee suit on right now!) are just some of my favorites! He teaches Drum Lessons too!
Ernie has been so easy to work with and I am very smitten with his pet, Pig Floyd! That pig gets to have more fun than me partying at the Continental club, hanging out at the Hilton! Get out and see Ernie play really soon!
Thanks for the referral Jagger Peyton
If you are looking for some great food, cold beer & a fantastic staff for SXSW 2010 head on down to The Jackalope.
It’s my favorite bar of 6th Street and one of Groovee Fortune‘s most AWESOME and long time clients! Don’t buy me a Helldorado! You can have one! But I would love a burger, chicken wing or pulled pork sandwich! The Jackalope menu will be shorter for SXSW.
Can’t find what you want at The Jackalope, just head to the front of the bar and order yourself a crispy beer battered pizza at Jack’s Pizza.
In the mood for LEGENDARY Tex-Mex? Head right next door to Chupacabra Cantina. You need to try the Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka frozen drink. YUM! Yes there is a Cabrito (aka Goat) Burger!!!
If you spent your last dime on SXSW and rock n roll, never fear! Beelzebuns is right out on the street offering tasting, affordable items.
So during a long day of computer nerding (which I am highly in favor of), watching 200 films in 2 days or rocking your socks off, head to the corner of Trinity and 6th to fill you tummy and relax amongst velvet paintings of naked women, stuffed jackalopes and chupacabras. Not to mention some rollergirls and interesting local folks. If we are using a 5 star scale, I give it all a 6! Especially since it is the only bar to create its own currency. If you find a wooden coin with a red jackalope stamped on it, that is good for a free drink!
CHEERS to SXSW 2010! Let’s turn this town upside down and PARTY!!!
It’s almost time for Chinese New Year. February 14th will bring us into the Year of the Tiger. I am Year of the Boar in the East and in the West I am Aquarian. Lucky for me I recently read that the Tiger is most closely related to Aquarius so I am gonna ride the tiger for all it is worth. The Year of the Ox (my husband’s ) has been filled with a lot of hard work and plenty of success but I am looking forward to running quickly and being fierce and in animal print! The Tiger’s Motto is “I Win!” and of course you love The Eye of the Tiger!!!!
One of the most dynamic signs in the zodiac, Tigers are truly a force of nature. They are by turns dependable, unpredictable, fearless and stout-hearted, tender and loving. For all the world appearing at times to be quiet homebodies, Tigers may just as suddenly change course, and pack up to travel to some far-flung exotic destination.
Groovee Fortune recently designed an Email Postcard for China Coast in celebration of the new year and I wanted to share it with you. China Coast, Asian Art and Antiques, deals in beautiful objects, textiles and jewerly from all over the world. Really amazing stuff. Below are a few of my favorite pieces. You can learn about Asian Art, find out about current Asian Art Collections , etc.
